Shane Swartz

Aviation has always been a passion for me from an early age and since these early times I have been drawn to it in every respect. In the immediate future I intend to get my private pilots licence (fixed wing) while still pursuing the photographic line.

I started working on a freelance basis for World Air News magazine (2003) and currently work for a local newspaper but I have a desire to learn as much as possible about photographing aircraft and to, hopefully, be able to work on this on a full-time basis.

I would welcome the opportunity to do more air-to-air photography, combining my love for photography with my desire to be in the air.

South Africa is very restricted when it comes to aviation but I hope to travel and photograph interesting aircraft all over the world as well as the people around them. I look forward to hearing from fellow photographers and I welcome feedback on my photos.
