Anthony Svihlik

Anthony discovered aviation at a very early age. He attended his first air show at Cleveland in 1976, where he saw the Blue Angels in the A-4 Skyhawk. His love of aviation, and more importantly, the admiration and respect of the air show performers, inspired him to join the Navy and obtain his Federal Aviation Administration Private Pilot Certificate.

Anthony entered the Navy in 1990 and was assigned to the “Roadrunners” of Attack Squadron 36, where he qualified as a Plane Captain on the A-6E Intruder. Later in his tour, Anthony transferred to the "Grim Reapers" of Fighter Squadron 101 where he realized his dream of working on the F-14 Tomcat.  Anthony normally attends six or seven air shows a year, trying to balance between shows held at civilian fields and military bases.
