He did it! He wanted to be a pilot in the Swedish Air Force but got glasses, now he got to fly at last any way - thanks to his unique photography.
The autodidact Claes Axstal continued his imagery he developed during his ski- and yacht photography in the 80's and 90's and brought it to
the skies. Built his own flash gear, sealed it, shielded it against the electromagnetic pulse,
tested it at Ericsson Microwave and got it approved by the Swedish Defence Administration to be used inside aircraft.
Claes gets his inspiration from photographing a wide variety of
subjects and in this way he can be in the environments he love.
