Comments from the Chair

Late, as usual, in getting a note off to "all y'all". Been a busy summer - and the heat hasn't helped.
We're
off to a good start for ISAP-VII, now scheduled for March 15, 16, 17 of
2007 in Pensacola, Florida. Chad Slattery, Richard Vandermeulen, and
the rest of the gang have been putting in some serious time in an
effort to make this next gathering our best ever. We've got a superb
list of speakers lined up, thanks to the efforts of Andy Wolfe,
and it looks good for my ol' friend Joe Kittinger - most famous
for jumping out of a perfectly good helium balloon at 102,800 feet and
free-falling for 4.5 minutes - to be our special guest on the night of
the banquet (he may show up for the entire event, if time permits).
Chad - with Tom Twomey's help - has a nice hotel locked-down in Pensacola
and Richard is working on our field trip venue. The latter almost
certainly will include a few hours at the Museum of US Naval Aviation,
a quick tour of the USAF Armament Museum, and possibly a long afternoon
on the ramp at either Eglin AFB or Tyndall AFB. Any way you look at it,
ISAP-VII is shaping up to be a lot of fun and yet
another opportunity to pal around with some exceptional people and take some great aviation photos!
The
new ISAP web site is cracking up to be a major step forward for us.
Michele Peterson is doing a bang-up job on the design, layout, and
content side, and as time permits, she has many upgrades and
improvements in store. Check-in as time permits to see the latest. As
an ISAP member, this site exists for you. Your input and feedback are
always welcome and encouraged.
So, keep us posted on happenings in the real world. I sincerely hope
all of you will let us hear from you at every opportunity.
