A detailed accounting of the event can be located elsewhere on this
web site, so I won't recount it here, but suffice it to say that
right now is the time to get your dues paid and your registration
checks written and your hotel reservations locked-down. The latter,
incidentally, is a must – as the hotel has limited accommodations on
the weekend of our event. They are sold-out except for the rooms that
have been set-aside for ISAP. Call today or be prepared to sleep in a
tent!
We're still working on some details, not the least of which is the
strong possibility that the famous Lockheed P-38L Lightning, "Glacier
Girl" will be on hand for our photo op with the new Lockheed Martin
F-35A Lightning II. If we are successful in bringing the two aircraft
together, it will be a first in history – and a very special
experience for those of us who will be onboard for the occasion.
Don't miss this one!
All else is moving along well with ISAP. I do admit, once in a while,
to being a little disappointed that more of you have not submitted
images and a short bio sketch for the "Gallery" section of our web
site. Michele Peterson, our web sheriff, has done a magnificent job
of setting up this promo tool for all of us to use. Take advantage of
it. It takes only a few minutes to write a little self-adulating
piece and assemble ten or so 72 dpi jpegs for e-mailing. That's al it
takes - and Michele will do the rest. You will be amazed at how many
folks log in to our site and have a snoop around. And it's absolutely
free to ISAP members!
We'll be having a short business meeting again during ISAP-VIII. It's
a grand time to bring your nits and picks and suggestions. Make notes
now – and don't forget to bring 'em. We want to know what you expect
from ISAP!
So, see you in late February! Remember, it can be chilly here in
Texas during that time of the year - so dress accordingly!
